Windows 98 Turns 15 Years Old Today

Windows 98

It may seem like yesterday to some of us, but as we look around in this world of iPads and smartphones, it seems like even longer. Today in 1998, Microsoft's Windows 98 - which was developed under the well known codename Memphis - debuted. This version of Windows smoothed out some of the rough edges of Windows 95 by allowing for some better usage of lowercase letters and even further built Microsoft's (temporary) dominance of the Internet with Internet Explorer 4.

Wikipedia has a great Windows 98 Page if you are feeling nostalgic.
