Green Bay Net WebMail Junkmail Tweaks

Most of our users choose to utilize the WebMail system available from the Green Bay Net website. This offers several advantages:

  • the ability to check your email anywhere with an Internet connection
  • FREE technical support from GBN staff
  • the ability to control your own personal Junkmail settings!

Not making use of this powerful tool? It's simple!

  1. Log into WebMail through the Green Bay Net website
  2. Click on 'Options' at the top of the screen
  3. Finally, click on 'Message Filtering'.

By default you should already have one rule created.

“If Header contains X-Spam-Level: ****** then move to *INBOX.Junkmail.”

X-Spam level is a rating system used by Green Bay Net to determine the likelihood of an email to be SPAM. * *Click on 'edit' and then either add or delete * to make your Spam levels more or less strict. The more '*' you add the less strict Webmail will be about moving emails to your junkmail folder. The less '*' the more aggressive webmail will be. The default is 5 '*' try adding and removing and find out what works best for you. However make sure to check your junk mail folder regularly to make sure that emails aren't incorrectly being marked as spam!
