Webrunner

Dial-up Accelerator and Windows Vista

Green Bay Net's accelerated dial-up software is now compatible with Windows Vista. When Vista was initially released, the software would install, but would not produce the toolbar option necessary to allow for configuration.  This issue seems to have been resolved.  Webrunner will now work on all modern operating systems.  Both Windows and Mac.

The Dial-up Accelerator program is a software download from http://www.greenbaynet.com/dialup that will allow users to receive compressed image files.  This functions to speed up the feel of a dialup type connection.  You simply need this software installed, and then notify Green Bay Net to add this service to your account.

Green Bay Net technicians have installed and run this software on multiple different Vista machines, and these are functioning properly.  Although the software designers have not changed their page to update for the change, there is a definite difference and correction.  As of this writing, it was unclear if this correction came from Webrunner or by downloading updates for Windows Vista, but as long as you've got the latest versions of both programs, it will work!!!
