This is a special announcement and offering provided by our friend running GreatScott Images:
MeetHeads!
I plan to set up a little studio of sorts at future meets that I attend, and offer to take a nice portrait photo of anyone there who would like one. The cool thing is, everyone is welcome to use their meet-up head shot for free for any non-commercial purpose! All I ask in return is that you credit me as the photographer and link to my site wherever possible, and that you allow me to use all photos in my folio. If you could display the credit as follows, that would be marvellous!

Some suggested uses for your MeetHead:
- Facebook profile
- Twitter avatar
- Instant messaging service icon
- Portrait for your "About" page
Some tips for getting a great MeetHead:
- Know what you want from the photo, and think of some poses/moods to suit. Serious? Fun? Sexy? Business? Friendly?
- Avoid loud or detailed tops, they'll distract from your face in the photo. Simple is best.
- If you're a shy person but want a photo, maybe leave it till later in the night when you have some "liquid courage" ;)
Special Bonus!
When I take your MeetHead, I'll give you a card with the address where you can find your photo. The card is also a 15% discount voucher for a personal photo shoot! You can use this voucher with any portrait or family photo shoot you book with me in the future.
DISCLAIMER: This offer is provided in good faith, and may be altered or withdrawn at any time without notice. Your photos will not be used for any commercial purpose without your written consent.

I'm training for a marathon in honor of my dad, Bruce. I've learned along this journey that someone is diagnosed with a blood-related cancer every 4 minutes. I was shocked to hear that and wanted to do something to help my dad and the many people who are diagnosed every 4 minutes.
My mission is to raise $4,100 by October 8. I'm at about $1,500 as of today. I do have a blog chronicling the journey at
