We had a great time talking about SEO and SEM this morning at Titletown Brewing Company. Join us next month!
We covered a huge overview of the topic - from HTML refactoring to canonicalization of URL's to the impact of social media engagement on SEO. We briefly talked through Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools - as well the Bing counterpart. Finally, we even talked through the pros and cons of "hand-coding" versus utilizing a CMS base as well as the impact of SEM/PPC on SEO.
While things seem like they may have gotten technical, I feel like our small group talked through things in a very clear and elementary fashion. We also prioritized some SEO factors that were more difficult versus the "easy ones" that offer a little more "bang for the buck".
Overall, it was a fun discussion with excellent participation of the small group. This was a great first meeting and sets a great tone for upcoming sessions.
